Purpose
The ranking helps order lawyer profiles in the Juristas.MX directory. The ranking score is separate from the average client-review stars shown on a profile. A position is not a guarantee of a particular outcome.
Who is included
The calculation includes active lawyer profiles whose education has been approved by the site. This site check does not by itself establish a professional licence or authorisation to practise in a particular jurisdiction.
What counts
- Client reviews: approved reviews have the greatest weight. Lower scores reduce the result. A client may review a lawyer's approved answer to their own question.
- Helpful answers: answers selected as useful by the question owner or an administrator, including answers paid through the site.
- Activity: answering client questions contributes to the score, with a limit on the benefit of volume.
- Own articles: published original blog articles contribute; imported news is not an original lawyer article.
- News confirmations: eligible lawyers' current confirmations of published news make a small, capped contribution. A changed article or revoked eligibility can remove that credit. Refutations and the absence of confirmations do not create a penalty. See the editorial policy.
How ordering works
The directory prioritises the last 30 days, then uses the last year's score to break ties. Calculations combine all supported languages of this site. Small samples are smoothed, so a single review has limited influence. New activity is reflected after the next recalculation, so changes may not appear immediately.
Integrity
Scores are calculated rather than entered manually in a profile. Public reviews require ownership of the question, cannot be self-reviews, pass moderation and are limited to one per client, lawyer and question. Exact weights and volume limits are not listed here. If an input is corrected or removed, the change is reflected by a subsequent calculation.
